God

∆∆∆Being a Christian is the most important thing to me in the world. It means everything. the Church are my family and god is my loving father who constantly showers me with blessings - even if sometimes I struggle to see the benefit of things.

I became a Christian about two or three years ago. I've grown up in a Christian family and have always attended a fantastic Church. I knew my Bible well and always presumed that being a good person and going to Church on a Sunday was what made me a Christian. But as I got older, into my early teens, I realised that that wasn't going to save me, and that when I got to heaven telling God that I knew my famous Biblical stories back to front wouldn't make an ounce of difference. So I put my life in Christ - opening my heart to Jesus and accepting that I was a sinful person and couldn't - no matter how hard I tried - be perfect. I needed Jesus to die on the cross for me to have a relationship with my Dad ; God. So slowly I learnt to trust this amazing God, to pray like a little child and to ask for forgiveness (Very regularly!) And now that I have matured for a couple of years I can honestly say that Jesus provides true happiness. Because he is the son of god and having a relationship and sharing my heart with him beats any amazing meal or great photography. It beats walking on the Beach at sunset or swimming or family adventures in the forest or paddling in lakes. (Not that these things aren't great gifts from God!)

If you're reading this and haven't yet thought about your faith or religion at all, I just want to say, go to your local Church, pick up a Bible and start reading, chat to a friend who's a Christian, ask questions. There is a God out there who loves you and wants you to make the decision to truly love him back. Make the leap!

Mountains: I've climbed a few. Fallen off a few, too! But you can't stay forever in the valley, can you?You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20.

So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith. Galatians 3:26
